Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a hot topic these days. Everyone is trying to learn how to use it, understand it, and what tools should be installed or utilized. However, there are many AI tools already integrated into Microsoft Office that you can use without having to install any 3rd party apps or even Microsoft’s Copilot AI tool.
Here is a quick overview of some of the tools at your fingertips already, if you have the latest versions of Microsoft Office, as well as links to the detailed tips on how to use them:
Excel
Flash Fill – have a list of data that you need to retype because it was downloaded or formatted incorrectly? Flash fill will automatically figure out what you are trying to do, when you re-type data in an adjacent column and cell, and then automatically apply that same change for your entire column of data without having to retype the rest of your records.
Analyze Data – not sure how to create charts or PivotTables, or wish there was a quicker way to do so? The Analyze Data tool will analyze your table of information and allow you to ask questions or automatically insert PivotTables, charts, and graphs based on its analysis.
Word
Editor – Want a tool that can make you sound smarter or more professional in your writing? Word’s Editor tool will do just that. It analyzes anything you have written and then makes suggestions for everything from how to convey your information more clearly or concisely, to how to make it more formal or refine your vocabulary.
PowerPoint
Designer – Want to make PowerPoint slides that use great visuals and look professional? The PowerPoint Designer tool can do all of that for you in one click of a button. Great for people new to PowerPoint that are not sure on how to use all the tools to make a polished presentation, or even for experts, who really want to add that extra punch.
